Green filmfest releases Iranian nominees lineup

The 6th International Green Film Festival (IIGFF) has picked the Iranian nominations.

Movies for the competition sections of ‘animation’, ‘short film’, ‘experimental’, ‘short documentary’, ‘documentary’ and ‘feature’ were on the lineup announcement.

More than 43 countries have submitted their works to vie at this year’s edition of the Festival.

The 2017 edition proposes to draw attention to sustainable tourism, complying with UN World Tourism Organization that has named 2017 as the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development.

As Iran’s sole environmental event on motion pictures, founded in 1999, the festival regards other media on its sidelines as well.

The 6th edition of the International Green Film Festival is now slated for September 9-15, to be held simultaneously in Tehran and some other Iranian cities.
